2021 DWU/Culver's Boys Classic Info

Please read the entire contents of this email thoroughly to help answer questions prior to gameday! We are extremely excited to have you participating in the 2021 DWU Culver’s HS Boys Classic. This year will look slightly different from a logistical standpoint to account for our institutional COVID-19 protocols. Below are a few changes that we want to specifically highlight for Saturday, February 13th.

  • Face coverings will be required for the duration of the event
  • There will be two sessions (outlined below)
  • Limited to 1,000 tickets for each session (presale tickets will be online at and available at the door until capacity limits are reached)
  • Presale ticketing will go live at 9:00am on Saturday, February 6th at
  • Corn Palace will be cleared between sessions
  • Tickets will be $8 for adults and $4 for K-12 students (ticket prices are per session)
  • All games will be streamed online at or available on your local Mitchell Telecom channel

10:00am- Freeman Academy-Marion vs. Corsica-Stickney

11:30pm- Lyman vs. Bridgewater-Emery

1:00pm- Chamberlain vs. Hanson

2:30pm- Dell Rapids (No. 5)  vs. St. Thomas More (RV)

SESSION 2 *admission for SESSION 2 will start at 4:00pm*

4:30pm- Viborg-Hurley (RV) vs. Aberdeen Christian

6:00pm- Dells St. Mary’s (No. 5) vs. Canistota (No. 3)

7:30pm- White River (RV) vs. De Smet (No. 1)

9:00pm- Howard (No. 2) vs. Platte-Geddes (No. 4)


Additional Information

  • Second team listed will be the designated home team (light uniforms and north bench)
  • Locker room assignments will be posted upon your arrival
  • Minimum of 10 minute warm-up with armory available during game before yours (visiting team during halftime and home team during 3rd quarter)
  • Athletic Training will be on site for the duration of the day
  • Comped tickets available for school officials by request
  • Food, beverage and t-shirts will be placed in your locker room at the conclusion of the game
  • There will be an MVP announced after each game. Please have your teams remain on the floor until this presentation is complete.
  • Buses are asked to park behind the Corn Palace
  • Team personnel will enter through the back doors of the Corn Palace

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our teams, spectators and event workers safe. We ask that respective school administrators/staff help enforce the protocols put forth by Dakota Wesleyan University and the Corn Palace during their respective schools contest.
