The Platte-Geddes School District has been approved to serve breakfast and lunch throughout the extended school closing. The meals will be “grab and go” and will provide lunch and the next day’s breakfast. Platte-Geddes Elementary will be the primary pickup site for the meals. We will use the Geddes Grocery Center as another pick up site. You can pick up the meals from 11-12 am at either site.
Due to Federal Guidelines, we will only be able to offer the meals to students that are enrolled in the district. Other districts can offer the meals to everyone, but our low percentage of free/reduced lunch qualifiers limit our capabilities. The meals will be free for all enrolled students. Per the USDA regulations, “The maximum number of meals that may be offered to each child remains the same as under SFSP or SSO; up to two meals, or one meal and one snack, per child, per day, in any combination except lunch and supper.”
For planning and preparation purposes, we are asking you to complete the survey below. In addition to the initial survey, we will be sending out daily surveys to record the number of requested meals. You will receive the surveys via email, and they will also be located on the P-G School website, and Facebook page.
