Build Dakota Scholarship Roadshow Presentation:
Thursday, Nov. 3 in the Platte-Geddes High School Gym, from 2:55-3:38 pm
This event isn’t just for students; we are inviting employers that currently participate in Build Dakota and also those employers that would like more information on Build Dakota to attend as well.
This will be about a half hour interactive assembly.

Talk about “workforce shortage” in SD and what the opportunity this creates for young people.
Options for following that opportunity
Importance of career exploration prior to starting college
Review our industry partner programs
Talk about technical college in general- answer questions and dispel myths.
Build Dakota is a scholarship program created for students entering high-demand programs at South Dakota technical colleges. It allows them to earn a degree for free in specific fields. This is an exciting opportunity for your students to hear about this program and talk directly to the director Deni Amundson as well as representatives from participating technical colleges.
