Today, our 6–12 students had the opportunity to hear an inspiring presentation from Mark Leinweaver, nationally recognized speaker and Major League Baseball agent, as part of our ongoing efforts to support positive student development.
Mark Leinweaver is a seasoned MLB agent with over 20 years of experience representing more than 75 professional players and working in sports, broadcasting, writing, and education. In addition to his work in athletics, he is a frequent speaker at schools and colleges across the country, sharing a message built around personal integrity, responsible decision-making, and character development. (Why Character Matters)
Understanding the potential dangers and long-term impact of social media use
The importance of bravery in behavior, especially in speaking up when something isn’t right
Giving back through volunteering and community involvement
Leadership in standing against bullying and fostering a respectful school climate
Students were challenged to think critically about how their actions and decisions shape their futures, both in school and beyond. Leinweaver’s message reinforced the value of personal accountability, kindness, and leadership, echoing goals we uphold within the Platte-Geddes community. (Why Character Matters)
We are grateful to Mr. Leinweaver for joining us today and for offering our students meaningful guidance on character, resilience, and the choices that help define a successful life.
