Public Meeting & Projects Info

The Platte-Geddes School District is continuing to provide information to patrons regarding proposed facility project plans and the upcoming school bond vote scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

The proposed project addresses long-standing facility needs related to safety, accessibility, instructional space, and capacity. District facilities include structures originally built in 1924, and ongoing limitations have required the district to use temporary solutions and shared instructional spaces. The proposed plan is designed as a long-term, comprehensive solution to meet current and future educational needs.

The project includes multiple components, such as updates to instructional spaces, improvements to career and technical education areas, enhanced special education spaces, and site improvements focused on safety and accessibility. Construction would be phased to minimize disruption to students and school operations.

To support transparency and community engagement, the district will host public informational meetings to share details about the proposed facility project and bond information and to answer questions from patrons:

  • Tuesday, January 27

    • 5:30 p.m. – Geddes Multipurpose Room

    • 7:30 p.m. – Platte-Geddes High School Library

  • Thursday, February 19

    • 7:00 p.m. – Platte-Geddes High School Library

Community members are welcome to attend any session that fits their schedule.

Additional information is available on the Building Addition page of the Platte-Geddes School District website. The QR code included on the informational flyer will direct patrons to this page, where project details, timelines, and resources are posted. A tax levy calculator has also been added to the Building Addition page to allow patrons to review estimated tax impacts based on individual property values. The calculator is provided for informational purposes only.

The Platte-Geddes School District remains committed to providing accurate information and opportunities for community members to stay informed regarding the proposed project and bond vote.
