This week, we proudly celebrate Public Schools Week, a time to recognize the vital role public education plays in strengthening our communities and shaping the future.
At Platte-Geddes School District, public education is more than a system. It is a commitment to opportunity, excellence, and community.
Every day, our teachers create engaging learning experiences that challenge and inspire students. Our support staff ensure safe, welcoming environments where children can thrive. Our principals lead with vision and dedication. Our board members volunteer countless hours to guide the direction of our district. Our families and community partners stand beside us in support of our students.
From half-day kindergarten to graduation, we are proud of the opportunities we provide, including strong academic programs that prepare students for college, careers, and life; career and technical education pathways; fine arts and music programs; competitive athletic programs; student leadership and extracurricular opportunities; and individualized support to meet the needs of every learner.
Public schools are the heart of our communities. We serve every child, every day, and we believe in the potential of every student who walks through our doors.
As superintendent, I am incredibly proud of the work happening in our classrooms and throughout our district. Public Schools Week gives us the opportunity to pause and celebrate the dedication, professionalism, and heart our staff bring to their work.
Thank you to our educators, staff, families, board members, and community partners for making Platte-Geddes a place where students succeed.
We are proud of our public schools and proud to serve the communities of Platte and Geddes.
