Landry Hanson was nominated for the “Good News Call” by her classroom teacher, Mrs. Darcie DuFrain, for being a great helper in the classroom. She notices what needs to be done and is always offering to help her teacher. Landry wipes tables, cleans up scraps from the floor, and is always in a good mood! She is simply a JOY to have around the classroom! And, our Shout Out for the month of March is Positive Attitude! Landry is a fine example of a helping hand with a positive attitude. Thank you, Landry, for being an AWESOME kiddo!

World Down Syndrome Day is Monday, March 21. We are sponsoring a "Rock Your Socks Day" where the students are encouraged to wear colorful socks. This year, the theme is "Lots of Socks" and we are encouraged to "Put Some Color on our Feet". #LotsOfSocks Put some color on your feet! Get noticed and start a conversation about #WorldDownSyndromeDay. We encourage everyone to wear their "Crazy and Colorful Socks" on Monday. The crazy socks will help us all show our uniqueness as an individual.

We had a "Good News Call" that went out yesterday to 5th grader Hank Veurink. Hank is often observed to be assisting our younger students. He helps them to make good decisions, transition in from recess, and he helps them when they are injured or having a tough day. Hank is an example of a student who notices children in need of assistance and takes the time to stop and help. Thank you for setting a fine example for our littles and thank you for being a daily example of "DTRT or Do The Right Thing". Thanks for being such a great kid, Hank!
