Our 5th graders practiced the scientific method this week during Mrs. Nelson's science class. They tested "How many paper clips will float?" Many smiles.......
The second graders in Mrs. DuFrain's classroom are learning about plants in their problem based learning class. This week they visited a raised garden bed and a garden planted in the ground. Mrs. Darcie DuFrain, from 3rd Grade, let the students pick cucumbers and cherry tomatoes from her garden. It was a great day!
Lenlee Mills was nominated for the "Good News Call" this week becasue of her daily demonstration of our Panther Way Expectation of KINDNESS! Lenlee Mills has been a friendly face on the P-G Elementary playground since day one. When a younger student needed a friend on the first day, Lenlee jumped in asked if she could help. You will often see Lenlee offering to help younger students line up, find a friend, or play a game. Thank you for noticing and helping our littles here at P-G Elementary and for showing The Panther Way of kindness!

Cross Country Information:
Matt Maxon, cross country coach, will be holding a parents/athletes meeting Monday, August 9 in the Elementary Gym at 6:30pm for any student in 6th-12th grade interested in participating in cross country this year. Junior High Volleyball Information:
Anyone interested in 6th-8th grade volleyball, please download the Heja app for all volleyball information. We will have our player meeting after school on August 19th in the high school gym. Players will get all paperwork that day and it will need to be returned to the first practice on Monday the 23rd. Also, if your daughter needs her physical, that will need to be done before the first day of practice.
Lots of information out on the Heja App! Please join our team on the app with either one or both parents and if your daughter has a phone, it would be great to have her on the app also! Junior High Football parent/player meeting information:
There will be a Junior High Football parent/player meeting on Monday, August 9th at
8 a.m. in the elementary gym. Parents will be completing all of the necessary participation forms. The football players will stay after the meeting for pad handout and impact testing. The first official practice will be Wednesday, August 11 at 9 a.m.
6th-grade students are able to participate in both junior high football and the Platte-Geddes Area Youth Football Program.
