We had a "Good News Call" on Thursday, April 13. The Good News Call went out to Marlee Meyerink! Marlee was caught doing at least 3 random acts of Kindness this past week. She quietly volunteered to move to another kickball team to keep the teams even at recess, she assisted children in the lunchroom with their lunch, and showed kindness through sharing with others. She has been observed throughout the building showing kindness, maturity, and compassion for others. Thank you Marlee for modeling "The Panther Way" for other students.
The second graders went to Geddes this week to meet with the Geddes City Council. They spoke to the members about their park project for this year and were granted permission to complete the project. Stay tuned for more details regarding the new park project.

STEAM Camp ~ Week 3! The students made Easter bath bombs. They worked on the Artie 3000 writing robots, makey makey, squishy circuits, 3d pens, solar panel, knexs, dash robots, super puffs, and bead bracelets. They are having fun at STEAM Camp!

STEAM Camp ~ Week 2! The students are having a blast with the new robots, Makey Makey robots, 3-D Pens, and foam pieces. They are creating many outstanding projects!
There will be NO SCHOOL today at Platte-Geddes Schools due to weather. Our teachers sent home e-learning packets with elementary students yesterday in preparation for an e-learning day today.

The "Good News Call" today goes out to Kindergartener, Eve Meyerink. Eve was nominated for the Good News Call by our cook, Kathryn Harrington. Eve noticed that someone had dropped paper towels on the floor and had not picked them up. She proceeded to tell Kathryn that she would pick up the mess herself. Thank you, Eve, for displaying the Panther Way Expectation of Responsibility by helping us to keep our building clean. You are a role model for everyone. We appreciate your help!
