Our 5th Graders have been very busy the past few weeks with a project called "Volume Zoo". This was a Science/Math integrated activity where the students chose an animal to research and then created the animal using rectangular prisms. They are continuing the project by writing about their animal. The "Volume Zoo" is on display near our lunchroom for everyone to enjoy! Great work 5th Graders!

Ms. Brassfield's 4th Graders had a "Constellation Project" and I had the opportunity to listen to several of their presentations. Fantastic job 4th graders! The projects were outstanding!

"Good News Call" Kate Olson was nominated for the "Good News Call" by our staff this week. Kate stepped up to help us in the lunchroom and we couldn’t have done it without her assistance. She has been observed to be kind, thoughtful, helpful, and caring. Mrs. Patzlaff said of the entire classroom of kiddos, they are just such a KIND bunch of kids. What an AWESOME compliment and THANK YOU to ALL of our 5th graders for modeling the Panther Way expectation of KINDNESS, RESPONSIBILITY, and RESPECT!

The district has been informed that Platte-Geddes students are entering the golf cart shed that was damaged by the latest snowstorm. Golf course personnel has asked that we send this message to parents to encourage their children to stay out of the damaged shed. They are fearful that the roof will collapse entirely and those inside will be injured. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated!

The "Good News Call" this week went out to Gunner Werkmeister. Gunner noticed that Mrs. Pazour needed help with a task that another student did not complete so he happily offered to do the job. Our positive affirmation this week was “I help others” and Gunner did just that! He noticed a job that needed to be done, and even though it was not his job to do, he offered to help and do the job anyway. Thank you, Gunner, for being a Happy Helper to others!
