The Elementary Honors Choir students will leave for Brookings on Wednesday, February 9th. The Elementary Honors Choir Performance will be held on Thursday, February 10 in Brookings, SD.

From Mrs. Frandsen's classroom the winners were: t-shirt ~ Ryley DeGroot; basketball ~ Jacklyn VanZee; hats ~ Gunner Frederick and Jase Griesse. The Good News Call this week went out to Chance Hermanek, Rhett Harrington and Myles Leader. Chance, Rhett, and Myles have been caught numerous times cleaning up messes around the school. These include messes that they have not made. Thank you, boys, for your responsibility and for caring so much about others and our school. Keep up the great work. And thanks for being AWESOME kiddos! The Good News Call this week went out to Ziva Zephier. Ziva was nominated for the "Good News Call" by Mrs. Lacee Mills. Mrs. Mills nominated Ziva for being a Happy Helper in the STEAM Classroom. Ziva notices when the room needs to be cleaned and swept. She cleans the tables and cleans up after projects; even when the mess is not hers. She notices what needs to be done and she takes the iniciative to do the work. And she does so with a smile on her face! Thank you Ziva for being a great and happy helper!

The "Good News Call" went out this week to Braxton Veurink. Braxton was nominated for the call by Ember King for her kindness and help in the lunchroom. Braxton was placing her tray on the counter for Mike, our dishwasher, and she noticed the trays were all amiss. She took the time to organize every single tray for Mike. And Braxton is only in 1/2 day kindergarten! She has learned at a very young age the value of helping others, and of seeing a task that needs to be done for another and pitching in to help. Thank you, Braxton, for being a kind helper at school. She sure looks like one of Santa's helpers in her Christmas attire!
