Sweet Khloe DeGroot made a "Good News Call" this week for assisting one of our young students. Khloe noticed that one of our ½ Kindergarten students was feeling nervous about coming to school in his Halloween costume. She walked over to him and encouraged him to enter the playground with her. His Mom nominated Khloe for the "Good News Call" for the kindness she showed him in helping him have the courage to walk into school all dressed up for Halloween. Khloe, we appreciate the kindness you show to others, and we appreciate that you noticed someone who needed help and you helped him. We truly have the BEST kiddos! ❤️
The students in both Shop 1 and 2 have been working on their welding skills out at Trail-Eze Manufacturing. I would like to thank Trail-Eze for their partnership with the school, and for providing this fantastic opportunity and training for our students. The students have worked on welding butt joints, lap joints and tee joints. They have also learned the fine art of doing a triple weld. The students have been performing so well that Trail-Eze had them weld a storage rack for steel plate materials. Their weld beads are very good. This is what they are doing in the photos. Welding is something the students enjoy very much. -Mr. Daum

Jace Bogenhagen was nominated for the "Good News Call" this week for being a good friend to others. Jace helped a classmate who had spilled his milk (and it was even the classmate's birthday). Jace was observed to be down on the floor with napkins wiping up the chocolate milk for his friend. Thank you, Jace, for thinking of your friend and helping him clean up the spilled milk. Thank you for modeling the Panther Way expectation of KINDNESS!
Kadeus Andrews was nominated for the "Good News Call" for helping a friend at lunch. His friend had dropped his sub sandwich. Kadeus felt sad for his friend. He helped him pick up the sub and went back to the lunch line to get a new sandwich for his friend. Thank you, Kadeus, for modeling the Panther Way expectation of kindness and respect. Thank you for being a good friend to others.
Aiden Schoenrock made a "Good News Call" this week! He was nominated by his teacher Mrs. Petersen and our secretary Carol O for his help in keeping our building clean. He noticed that our hallway fills up with leaves that blow in when it is windy. He brought boxes, filled them with leaves, and brought them home to get rid of for us. Aiden made picking up leaves into a fun project with friends on the recess playground. Thank you, Aiden, for helping us keep our building clean! We appreciate your kindness and help!
Alum Tess Ringling also came to school to discuss her educational path, and returning back to Platte to work with Synrgy. Thank you Tess and Mrs. Larson for the great opportunity to hear a former student and the things she does within our community!

Two weeks ago, Mrs. Larson took her Visual Communications class down to Synrgy. It was a great experience for the students to learn about opportunities being creating for future working experiences locally!

For those not making a trip to Watertown today, but still want to support our Cheer and Dance team, here is a schedule of when the team performs today! Good Luck Ladies!

On Wednesday, October 19 we will join schools across the nation in honoring "Unity Day". Unity Day, the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month, has been recognized in the United States since 2011. To participate in Unity Day, individuals, schools, communities, and businesses wear or share orange to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent students being bullied. We will wear ORANGE to celebrate KINDNESS, ACCEPTANCE, and INCLUSION. All students and staff members in grades 1/2K-12 grade are invited to join us in wearing ORANGE.
